The National Like Bunnies...

Got back from The National concert about an hour ago. Had to make a pit stop and eat some Taco Bell.

But now that I've seen them and have eaten a tasty Chicken Quesadilla, I can die happy. oh jeeeeeezus. They put on a fantastic show and I love them even more now. OOH!

I thank Katie very much for going with me and not hating it and killing me. Especially after we stayed to sit through Portastatic and John Vanderslice. Yikes. Vanderslice made me want to take a freaking nap, no joke. I like a few of his songs...but damn, no need to see it live.

Only disappointment was they couldn't play, "Friend of Mine", the song I requested. for lack of time and rehearsal of said song. :( It makes sense but I can still live in my dream world where they would play that song for me.

Anyway...I need to be up in a couple hours to work at Pizza Slut through a hurricane and I'm tired. So...there will most definitely be more details and ranting about The National tomorrow...with pictures. If any of them came out. I freaking hope so.

When I Remembered What I Wanted to Tell Ya Man

So last night was amazingly awesome for me. I don't think anybody has a clue how awesome last night was for me. Just...gah! A band you're totally in love with playing such a small little place and wandering around the entire time. I'm going to put the entire account of the night behind a cut thingy...because I will most likely rant about nonsense that nobody cares about except for myself.

And I'm also putting the very crappy pictures I took during the show under the cut. They did not come out very well...I'm upset at a lot of them, because we got dead center and this huge red light was illuminating everything and that fucked up a lot of my pictures. And I admit, I wasn't paying the most attention to my camera and taking photographs. I was much more interested in not missing anything on stage. So, they're just kind of keepsakes and reminders of the night.
