( The Rosebuds )
When the Rosebuds came on, didn't even know it was them. I had only listened to one of their songs up to this show and I liked it, but I knew nothing about the band. So when they come up and the singer says into the mic, "Where the Rosebuds" I got confused first...because I thought there were supposed to be three bands. And then I felt bad because I had this like...bitterness toward them for no reason really. I knew nothing about them. But I wanted to see The Sun and I hadn't heard anything from this band and for some reason I disliked them even though I liked the one song I had heard and I even liked their album cover. So...my bitterness was wrong and unfounded.
And then they began with the one song I knew and liked...so they began it on a wonderful note. They performed great. The only thing I could wish was for the crowd to have not been so full of heckeling drunk people screaming for a drum solo. *sigh* Anyway, they're pretty awesome and I got their album with the nice cover and have been listening to it...I think its pretty brilliant. And the woman...don't know her name...was very nice and enthusiastic when I talked to her at the merch. I think I got a slight heterosexual female crush on that keyboard playing rock sta!!! So yeah...download and listen! :)
Songs by The Rosebuds:
Hold Hands and Fight - The Rosebuds
Boxcar - The Rosebuds
Outnumbered - The Rosebuds
Leaves Do Fall - The Rosebuds
Blue Bird - The Rosebuds

( Shout Out Louds )
These guys were fantastico live! Even with an increased number of stupid hecklers. Bah! First these stupid fangirly like girls were behind us and they were soooo drunk. During the show they dropped a glass on the floor and a shard smacked right into the back of my foot, I blame the thick, tall boots I was wearing for saving myself from an injury. Then they started flailing about and one stuck her heal into Katie's ankle. Leaving an ugly scrape. It was just a few of them...but they were all so freaking retarded.
Anyway, For some reason I wasn't expecting too much energy from this show. I don't know why...I just felt like they were gonna be just laid back and what not. But they rocked out, I must say. I liked the bassist...he just stood there rocking out in his own little bassist like world. :)
And the man's voice....is lovely. Its strange and I can see how it could irritate someone...but I think its uniquely wonderful. So, for the Love of Your Musical Taste, download and listen! :)
