2:1 to the ARSENAL!!!!

I'm doing a happy happy dance.
oh dear oh dear oh dear.
Today was shit. Utter shit. It was crap at work, busy as hell, a driver quit on me and I was really tired and just...blah. And I'm waiting all day long for the Arsenal vs. Manchester United game which began at 11:00 am here, and I didn't get to watch until about 8:30pm. *sigh*
Percy, at work, knew I was waiting for this game all week and he turns to me at around 11:05 and says "So, its about kicked off already, hasn't it? Do you want to know the scores?" Because he has Sirius radio in his car, he'd be able to inform me of the score. I tell him NO! and then think again, I WANT TO KNOW WHO WINS! but NO! I want to enjoy the game. So he laughs but keeps my wishes. I think he kept himself clueless as well and said he was going home to watch the 5:00pm repeat of the game so he can root for Arsenal and discuss it with me later. He's too sweet.
Anyway...an agonizingly long day ends and I get home from work. Katie's watching some shit on tv. I sat my ass down on the couch and glare at the screen. I remember telling her yesterday that I was going to come home and pretend I was a married man for a day and watch my sports after work. I glared some more. Luckily for her she turned to me and said, "You can turn on your game."
Awesome. :)
Anyway...Arsenal vs. Manchester United: It began badly for the Gunners...Manchester United were all over them and I got a sinking feeling in my gut that my day was going to get worse. Through the day...I knew only one thing about this game...It was not a draw. Katie had let slip that she was flipping through the channels and had seen the winner of the game. So, no draw...so either Arsenal go down...or triumphantly win. No in between. And of course, Arsenal couldn't move through the game confidently and smoothly. They had to have the weird ups and downs...and moments of sheer "What the Fuckdum".
But through some amazing goalkeeping, Lehmann saved Arsenal's ass right before half time to keep the game level. And the second half began like the first half. Arsenal trying to find their feet and Manchester United skipping around them. But soon things settled. Until "Ra Ra" Rooney, as Katie likes to call him...scored. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. And I looked to Katie to see if she gave anything away on if that would be the final score. She didn't. argh.

My nails were almost gone by the time V. Persie came on and the commentators began talking as if Manchester United had already won the game. But then! MAGIC! V. Persie scored! And I got a little excited. But still...I knew it was not to be a draw...so somebody, in the last 10 minutes had to score again! Of course! Leave it to these two teams to wait until the last minutes to make my heart explode! GaH!

And then...then...beauty. HENRY! HEADER! GOAL! Arsenal win the the game! Not without some final minute disappointing theatrics from Mr. Lehmann in Arsenal's goal to waste time and but a bad image on the amazing win. I love the guy...but there was no need for that pretending to have twisted his ankle. tsk tsk tsk. But anyway! Arsenal won! I'm happy. Chelsea fans are happy after their loss...and Liverpool fans are happy. So...now...lets see what the hell is going to happen next! :)
Nelson Dog: In other news. My dog has a skin problem, which we were going to treat. But has also now picked up a few fleas. So he's got double the itch...and I have to wake up early on my day off to call the vet and get him looked at. *glares* bitch dog.
And now that I've wasted a bunch of my time and space on my page here with random pictures...I will go to play some villians and then sleep!!! Woop!
