2,300 Miles and Counting
May. 25th, 2007 12:57 pmSo yeah...UGH!
I pre-ordered The National's album "Boxer" and because I pre-ordered it I got a free 7" single with it as well. Anyway...the day before the album release the a package in the mail...YAY! My album! NO. Its the 7" single and nothing else. No album. I check the mail the next day...Album Release Day. Its not there. :( The next day...not there. I had already e-mailed the company to ask if it had been shipped but recieved no reply. So, I just called the company and they said the album and single should have shipped together in the same package........so they have to send me another album..which will be here Monday. Almost a week after the release date. I shouldn't have pre-ordered. Could have bought it at Park Ave CDs...sheesh.
I went out to ride with Orlando Cycle Riders group this past Wednesday and had a good time. The people were very nice and they had some beautiful bikes. The route we took was nice and had a couple nice turns that I got to practice some cornering on. I was a bit intimidated because there were at least 10 riders...biggest group I've been in and all strangers. I didn't want to do anything to disrupt their ride. I didn't, they said I rode well even though my little 250 couldn't quite keep up with a lot of them on the straight aways. I caught them in the turns though. :)
I planned a ride for myself today...up to an area called SugarLoaf Mountain...I guess its supposed to be one of the heighest points in Florida, on the West side of Lake Apopka. Well, I wrote directions down but I got out in Sanford to follow a nice little route and ended up turning the wrong direction down and road and getting frustrated because I couldn't find the remaining roads on my route, because I'm an idiot. But I still had a good time and a decent ride. I'm going to try the ride again on Monday, probably, and take photographs.
Katie's gone for the weekend. Wonder what Dan Dan The Production Man is up to.
