The West Wing : Season Two:

I finished watching the first season today. !!! I've seen a good amount of the episodes before...but not the last two...and I couldn't NOT get the Second Season. And reasoning with myself...I only spent $16 on the first season...and I thought I was going to have to buy it at full price...so its kind of like...I got two seasons for the price of one and a third seasons. And that makes me feel like I rule at life. I put the season one on my wall of televison shows I own on dvd and it seems strangely out of place next to the complete series of Farscape, Buck Rogers, and most of Stargate SG-1. haha. Maybe The West Wing will do a SciFi episode sometime. Josh and Tobey are chosen for a special assignment...into OUTER SPACE!!!! To Fight MARTIANS! *SHOCK! GASP!*

I know, it would be the biggest television event ever, right?

I was HUGE into The West Wing until near the end of Season Two. It started getting way too soap opera-y for me, and after they KILLED a certain relationship that I thought would've been great, it made me sad. I never came back for season three. Of course, by that time, everyone I'd been pimpin' the show to for the previous two seasons discovered it. Here I am, out of the fandom and they're finally in it. ::sigh:: Who's your favorite character so far? I've always loved Tobey. Josh comes in second.

I love the show for being so intelligent and having great characters...but I just have accept the soap opera-y things, which piss me off as well...but they come with television and every show is going to have it to a certain extent. So, bring on the insane drama!

If I had to choose, my favorite character is Josh...he's just brilliant. But, I do love Tobey. Such a great character, a very close second in favorites. CJ has a warm spot in my heart as well..hehe. But that's a reason I like this show, every character is interesting and I don't mind when one may be focused on over the other because I like that character too!

I've seen random episodes throughout the West Wing series, and a huge chunk of Season 6 which I think is pretty good, on the campaign with new presidential candidates. You should give it another chance. ;)

oh and which relationship did they kill that you were going for?

Joey Lucas/Josh. I always loved them together, and thought them having a thing would be cute. But noooooo.

Plus, somehow, in season two, they made me hate Donna.

awww, those two are adorable together. hehe. It would have been nice to see them get togther, but West Wing likes to tease you with possible little things and then smack you down as they take it away. those bastards.

See, I love zee Josh/Donna ...thing. Everytime I see them start bickering I just feel happy inside. hahaha. but I haven't seen all of Season Two, I am wondering what could make you hate Donna.

I love that Decemberists CD! They have such wonderful songs, I completely agree that their story telling is great.

And I definitely should start watching The West Wing again. I loved the first couple seasons and then sort of stopped watching it, but I've been really interested in the new season with the presidential nominations and campaigns.

Its a very fantastic album.

I really like how The West Wing is dealing with the separating of the characters with the different presidential nominees, at least in Season 6. I haven't watched any of the new episodes from season 7 yet.

and I hate that I'm always a late comer to things. *sigh* Six/Seven seasons into a show is when I start paying attention. hahaha.
