pooooooped.

got a little bit of sleep last night so I could open the store and then go out to a show.

The (International) Noise Conspiracy:

I was kind of unfamiliar with these guys. I've heard of them...places. But never really listened to them. Katie sent me a few songs to listen to so I could prep up. And then today she starts talking about how their Swedish. I had no clue. I thought they were American until earlier today. Wow. I'm a loser.

Anyway. In brief, because I'm tired and have pictures to develop tomorrow.

They were nothing like what I was expecting from my American rock band image of them while I sat listening to their songs in my room. They were fantastic!

First, they run out with these crazy get ups....these red and black shirts with stars and zippers on them. And then all hell breaks loose and every band member goes nuts and just rips into the first song. I was scared for my life for a while there because I was right up front with Katie. They were nutso.

Again, to make it brief, in short summary.

That Guy Dave: Opening opening opener. A man, his guitar, and a drummer. The man and his guitar sucked my balls!

Nightmare of You: I thought they were Nightmare View until the ride home from the show. *shrug* They were awesome with their technical difficulties and little band jams. awwww....so adorable!!! Way to be a rock band and play through the problems.

Danko Jones?: I think that was his name. He pissed me off. I was a bit biased in my anger before he started because he was an asshole during soundcheck. And then I thought he was doing a cover of George Thorogood songs and got even more angry. And then he sweated all over Katie and me and it was not nice at all. More like smelly rain of nasty. UGH! *shiver*

The (International) Noise Conspiracy: The lead singer is on the small list of men Katie would allow to impregnate her. Well done him. He was lovely with his insane dance moves, can't blame her. They turned me, made me want to definitely check them out some more. Wonderful show!

Now...I will go play my out of tune acoustic guitar for about ten more minutes before I retire.

These guys were really fun. Energetic and good at keeping the show going even with a few technical difficulties. The singer was having problems with his pedals, meaning it wasn't working at all. But, like a true rock n roller, he finished the song and then fiddled...then gave up on that and plugged the guitar straight into the amp and continued the show. Then the drummer had some problems with hearing during one song...they started it and then he broke his drum pedal. so...had to get a new one. But they didn't let it ruffle their feathers, they just kept going, poking fun at themselves.

The (International) Noise Conspiracy came running out onto the small stage and I was afraid I was going to get a knee to the face or a guitar to the temple. They were all over the place. Once I settled in and got comfortable with the flying microphones and guitar cords I wanted to take some pictures but had some problems. Because they move so much...nonstop! And my camera isn't the best, especially with The Social's lighting. So...some are not very good, sorry.

They also were amusing with their wardrobe changes. They soundechecked, left and changed before they came back on stage to this red and black shirt with zippers and stars. Then when they came back on for the encore they have new shirts and these green jackets with some more zippers. And the fashion with the singer's amazing dance moves and ability to work the mic stand like a stripper pole, I love these guys.

And during a song when the singer left the stage and came back with a black ski mask on he went a little nuts. and grabbed Katie and screamed all into her face, and then went to the girl on my other side and dived into her breasts, which was a bit frightening. And Katie got the set list cause she's awesome. The only crap thing about the show was that I couldn't hear the vocals very well. and that makes me sad.

I took no pictures of the weird guy Dave who didn't even bother tuning his guitar before he started playing or Danko Jones because he pissed me off and deserved none of my film.

And in other news. I have a broken nail that his hanging on for dear life to my finger. I have no idea why I don't just break it off the rest of the way, I just haven't yet.

New (used) car adventure begins...

I'm going to need a new car soon. It will eventually be easier and cheaper to get a new car instead of trying to fix up my Tempo.

So. I'm trying to figure out what to do...but I've never done this before and my dad was very little help. He seemed to think I know exactly what I'm doing.

I need to get an auto loan from the bank or do payments to the dealership...but I need the payment to be under $200 a month or I'm screwed. And even with that I need to get some more money before I can do that. And I don't even know how to go about getting it all set up.

My dad wants me to trade in my Tempo...so I just looked up the Kelley Blue Book Value on it...with all its cosmetic defects and worsening running condition its completely worthless. The cd player I put in my car is worth more then my car. *le sigh* So no real trade in on that one. HELL! Its only worth $375 if it was in perfect condition.

I'm afraid of the car dealers...and have no idea how they run things. No idea what to ask and what to look for and how not to get screwed. *le double sigh*
