Rawr!!! Internets and Duluth!
Jul. 9th, 2008 03:11 pmSo exciting times! A lot has happened in the past week or two.
Firstly, I finally got back onto LJ and what happens...a storm comes through and blows out the modem/router/and my ethernet jack in my computer. So no internets.
And then I had to suffer for a week or more without internet, in the midst of downloading Zee Stargate Sg-1 seasons...so that had to be put on hold. And I couldn't take that time to look for a job for my move to Duluth, GA...right outside of Atlanta. So i was frightened I'd be stuck without a job again.
But anyway, Nathan came down on Thursday and I had my last day of work on Fourth Of July. I will miss that place. Working in a call center is strange and oddly stressful but I really liked the people and got to enjoy the job. But I had to quit. :( Then Nathan pretty much took on the entire burden of my move...poor guy...and got me up here to Duluth. I have to say, i'm liking it more then I thought I would. The apartment is so much nicer then my former one that I think its fighting off the feelings I had developing for the state of Florida. I enjoyed that place, and I will miss the Palm Trees. :(
I have my stuff unpacked and Nelsito is slowly getting used to the place. I think he's been asleep almost everywhere but the kitchen so far. And thankfully...unlike Florida...where I went a month without being able to find any kind of job, I found a job here in 2 days. Yes, not the best job and not something I want to stay in for long. But a job. I'm working for Moe's! And I gets free Moe's for food at work!! OMG's!!! That is kinda worth sweating my ass off all day! lol. But I will still be hunting for cleaner and better paying work. Come to think of it...I don't even know how much Moe's is going to be paying me. hmmm
Oh my...this is getting long. I'm off to play some Zelda or something. whewww.
