I don't know if its become the stereotype that NASCAR fans are not as wealthy...but I guess...it seems more that its the same image that people get when they think of the stereotypical Southerner. Kind of hickish...I guess. But I don't know. I lived in Ohio for a majority of my life, and there's quite a large NASCAR fan base there...my mom and her husband are HUGE NASCAR fans. but those two don't really help the cause of saving the NASCAR fan image...but a lot of the fans weren't what I would call the stereotypical NASCAR fan.
