greatbriton: (ARSE Henry The Beautiful Game)
I'm sorry but this post is going to be Football. I've kept it in all day because nobody around me cares or watches the sport...but goddamnit!

Woke up a little early to watch the Arsenl - Watford game before going to work. And YES! A lovely game. 3-0 victory of lovely! Henry, Adebayor, and own goals of pretty! haha.

And though I'm super pleased with this...I was disappointed that Manchester United won...and Chelsea won...well, the game that caught most of my attention was the Chelsea game.

Chelsea - Reading: This game was...brutal. I had been recording it and for some reason after I watched the Arsenal game it started the Chelsea game at the 11th minute. I, being stupid, didn't think I had missed much. WOOOOWW! I was wrong.

I didn't even realize until the closing minutes of the game when Cudicini, Chelsea's reserve goalkeeper was being stretchered off because of a nasty air born collision and very hard landing, that since he was on...that meant Chelsea's #1 had been lost somewhere. Apparently...he had been injured as well. In the first minute I believe.

I you can...please download one or both of these...replays of the hit on Cech, Chelsea's starting goalkeeper. They're not big.

Replay 1
Replay 2 : Different Angle

It doesn't originally seem...too bad...but just look at it. The way that Hunt's knee goes down...when most players would be avoiding a collision with the goalkeeper. There was no need for this. and I don't know how there was no card on the play. Freaking vicious. I mean the first replay you can see that Hunt even gives a little movement like he wanted to avoid Cech...but then continues to go down.

And there were two red cards. Both because of yellows...and that's absurd. And that poor little Chelsea player. He was a broken man once that yellow then red flashed. You could see his heart break right there on television. But it was a stupid challenge.

On another note on the game. I really thought...Reading had a real chance to win that game. It they had won...or tied it then it would have made things very interesting. And I hate to admit, but I'm in love with Shevchenko...and I wanted Reading to win...but I wanted Schevchenko to score too. hehe. I was torn. And now these multiple goalie injuries and Terry running about in a goalkeeper uniform have given me some kind of sympathy for Chelsea.

Yeah, I know. They don't need my sympathy. They have enough talent on that team to cover their losses...but it was sad. Cech was one of the few Chelsea players I've come to like.

And talking about goalies getting smashed up. Poor Herr Lehmann got smacked into his own goalpost. You could hear the noise of his back hitting the post over the screaming crowd.

I think that's it. or until I think of more...or something. I'm going to go eat a banana now...and drink some lemonade.

Dog Park: Attempt #1: Well, first try at bringing Nelson to the dog park began pretty well but ended horribly. He barked when we got out of the car but then calmed down. The walk to the fence was good and he was met by two dogs leaving as he came in. He was very good with those dogs.

Then we got in the park and he was more distracted by the trees and benches than the dogs. The first couple dogs that approached him just sniffed about and Nelson did good. Then after about...five minutes Nelson started being a bitch. He was very jumpy and nervous.

I took him to a more empty part of the area and he was still jumpy with any dog that approached him. Then I put him in the little closed off time out room for dogs...and through the fence he began an aggressive barking fight with another dog. So...yeah.

*sigh*

Maybe next time I should try and tire him out a little before taking him and take him when there aren't as many dogs. And maybe with Katie also.

Dog Park: Attempt #2: SUCCESS!!!

I decided to take Nelson back to the dog park when there were going to be less dogs. But when we got there he was getting all hyper over seeing the dogs. So I took him to a trail to walk him instead.

But after the trail I thought that I would try the dog park again. He didn't get so hyper this time and I let him in and put him in the little closed off room to take off his leash. And after seeing that he wasn't going nutso in the cage I let him out. And he did good!

Oh! I'm so happy for little Nelsito! He ran and sniffed and kind of played with dogs for over an hour. He was happy and it was good to let him really run around. He didn't play too much but I don't think he quite knows what he's supposed to do. He watched the dogs playing and would run over and then not know what to do after that. hehe. It was adorable.

He tried to mount a dog...and he's never done that to anything before. So that was weird.

Oh...and there was this guy! MMMMM....cutey. I was all about him! And he had this adorable little dog that nipped at Nelson's neck so conversation was started! haha. I began conversation a few times but I don't know if he was very interested...and I think he has a girlfriend...if not something more. Because he kept referring to "We" instead of "I". But he did approach me after a bit and kept talking and joking with me. ARGH! CUTEY! But Oh well, he was nice and helped me feel more comfortable with the whole dog park thing.
