The CD/DVD drive to my computer isn't working...I don't know what I did to it. I really don't. I tried to watch Farscape on it last night and it wouldn't read the DVD. and now it won't read my CD's. I can live with it not reading my DVD's, but I need it to read my cd's. I need my songs on my computer. I don't have money right now for another drive all together...anybody know what I could go about doing to make sure the thing is totally caput...or if it is able to be saved?

She Wants Revenge: I don't know why I had this huge dislike of this band when I first heard about them. I still don't think they are the greatest, but I've listened to a few songs and I've liked them all. For some reason...they're winning me over. I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Art Brut: They are coming back around to The Social in a month or some such time. Which is suprising...because bands find it difficult to get down here to Florida for whoever knows why...and especially difficult to get around here twice in a few months time. Also, being a british band...its very very out of the norm. But Hell! I'm excited! We're going to see them again and its gonna rock my fucking world! Art Brut! Top of the Pops! I'm only disappointed that its not going to be a complete repeat of the last show with Robocop Kraus, because I fell in complete love with them. But speaking of Art Brut, I got my poster in the mail from the show we went to. I didn't have money that day and couldn't buy anything. But a company Eye Noise down here made the gig poster for it, and I thought it was cool, so I bought it. Yippee! Its pink!

New Music: I really need some new music again. I would love it if anybody who wanted to directed me to some good bands...or hooked me up with some songs directly would be even better! Because I am in the mood for some new stuff. I am VERY open to all kinds of music, so please...bring it on! :) :)

I've recently gotten into a band called The Pipettes. They're not normally the sort of music I listen to, but [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] dragged me out with her to see them live and they were brilliant. I can't stop listening to their album now. They've got a myspace too.

Oooh...never listened to the Pipettes before. First thing I thought when I was listening to the first song I got a hold of was, "Oh jeez...women.." hehe. I have major hesitations when it comes to female vocals. But I'm liking them! thank you! :)

I wasn't sure of them at first either, but I love them now. It's a bit strange, seeing their album on my shelf sitting next to Queens of the Stone Age and Placebo, but there we go.

good bands I've been listneing to a lot lately, i don't know what of this you've heard or not so just a list: Muse, the futureheads, the Dresden dolls, panic! at the disco, Snow Patrol, Keane, the Decemberists, Minus the Bear, Cute is What We Aim For... and i'll think of more later probably, but for now check out those bands.

Something about the Dresden Dolls irks me. I have a mad respect for them...but I can't sit still and listen to their music. *shrug*

I've never heard of Cute is What We Aim For....but never listened to them before. *quickly downloads* ... *listens* ... I'm liking what I'm hearing. I'm off to download some more. Thank you! :)

you may be on to something about dresden dolls, cuz i listened to all their songs and only really liked one, in mp3 form, but i liked them quite well live. maybe they're just more of a 'live' band.

You saw the Dresden Dolls live? Oh, I bet they're a good live show. I would think that they're something you need to see to be...thoroughly enjoyed. And I've yet to see them. Missed them when they came around here.
