greatbritonJackass 2: Oh...I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Jackass 2 was brilliance...true brilliance. hahaha
I really needed the cheering up after my day. I was just minding my own business at work when things began to take a dive really quick. Firstly, and not the most important of the day's events, the Sports Authority manager came into Pizza Slut to order a couple pizzas and talk to me. I didn't show up last week. And apparently, she still wants me to work. I don't really want to. And I've been afraid to show up to pick up my check. But now I'm feeling safe enough to show my face in there...but I didn't stand up and tell her right then and there that I didn't think working there was working out. So...she's awaiting me to come with my schedule so she can put me in over at Sports Authority. *sigh*
Then...oh then...The big one.
Nicole showed up at work. I saw her car before I saw her and thought maybe she was just stopping by to grab a soda or see if she could pick up some hours. But now...she walks in and she's a huge ball of tears. She had just broken up with her boyfriend Daniel, one of the drivers. She was telling me the story and confessed that he had hit her before a week or so ago, which sadly didn't really surprise me...and had just hit her again today. So she took off and her first stop was Pizza Hut.
I was a little confused as to how to console her in the sudden situation I was thrown into...but I tried, since I've never dealt with a man or had a friend who'd been treated so badly before...so I tried. Percy came in off the road and seemed to know exactly what to say to her though, which I was glad for. She calmed down once he got in and took her hand. But this man Percy is like a father to her...and after a lot of talking and comforting she let it slip that Daniel, the idiot boyfriend, had hit her...it was not pretty. Poor Percy didn't know how to take it...and Nicole thought Percy was mad at her for not speaking up sooner.
But god...who wants to admit they had made such a huge mistake and moved in with a man that hit them? I was going to take her home with me to calm down at the apartment with Katie and me...but she eventually called her mom and went over there. But this girl doesn't have much to count on...since there isn't room for her to stay for a long time with her mother. But I'm sure things will work out for her. I just hope she doesn't talk to Daniel anymore then necassary to get things finished.
It was so horrible though. I've never had to deal with or help someone who had to deal with a situation like this. I guess that's a good thing, but I feel really terrible for her.
Now we've lost a driver, because Daniel was using Nicole's car to deliver pizzas. And one of my day's off...tomorrow...I have to be the opening driver. *sigh* I was looking forward to sleeping in, but I felt too crappy not volunteering to take the shift. I want the least amount of stress at work these next few days as I can manage.
